Ideas for my pool party?

loveblack asked:

okay, so my birthday was back in april, but in most places in the eastern US, its cold at that time, so I’m having my pool party on like the 22nd of august, i have $100 dollars to spend since last year i wasted $200. so i know the pool is “free”, at my house, we have an inground pool, the cake, we’ll buy at like costco, around 15 bucks, okay, down to $85 now. i was thinking about having like a swim contest and the prizes would be like cheap 15 dollar peices of jewelry from macys or something, do you have ideas of like jewelry? please give me the link. and we have a trampoline that like, well i dunno, what can we do with that? and you wise guys better not say “jump on it duh!” what else would you do with it? we’re having pizza for lunch, and i’m inviting about 16 people and expecting like 10 or 8 to come, like last year.
Johana,
Doing the coolest tricks is a very good idea, but i don’t really think i’ll invite any of my guy friends, two of them are in italy, and the others would eat all the food. and i don’t really think that my mother would aprove of people just coming over and saying ” hey, i’m gonna use your trampoline/pool!” i’m like 14 she’s gonna think i’m like crazy or something but also a very good idea. thanks :) HalezzZZ…,
i like your idea, but my party’s in the morning, 9 to 11 AM. my mother would not aprove of doing something like that at one in the morning, but it was a good idea while it lasted. :) Ash,
thanks for your ideas, I think I will use those, but I don’t litteraly mean stuff for $15, most of the stuff is like 25 dollars and up, so i’m thinking i’ll have 1st and 2nd prize, and a bunch of little things I can find at the mall for other prizes, but i will defenatly find something at macys, because i love it there. i get most of my clothes and jewelery and makeup there. if i could, i bet i would live there. so thanks for the ideas

Edgar

For the trampoline thing I would get in the pool and get wet and then jump on the trampoline while your wet. Also, you can get a strobe light and at 1:00 a.m. or just when it gets really dark, bring it out on the trampoline and everybody jump at the same time with only the strobe light on. It’s really crazy and fun!

Well, on the trampoline you can see who can do the coolest tricks. Prizes: for Guys, 1 prize: poster (sexy, rock and roll, something like that!)
second prize: free acess to pool for a week.
third prize: free acess to trampoline for a week

Hm…well, your idea for a swim contest is a good one as long as your friends enjoy swimming (and I don’t mean tanning on a raft). Another option is who can jump the longest on the trampoline. I did that once for a school fundraiser and it was fun, but it can get really competitive. You could also got to Target or something and buy those weird pool toys that you drop into the pool and they sink to the bottom and see who can collect them all the fastest.
It’s a good idea to have several ideas because if you’re expecting at least 8 people to come not everyone is going to want to do the same things. You also have to rely on the fact that only some of the group may want to compete in a swimming contest or a trampoline contest, so make sure you have a variety of prizes that everyone will like.
I work at Macy’s so I took a look at what we have for $15 and less. The only problem is with a store like Macy’s something that’s $15 or less tends to be a clearance item so you may just have to visit your local store and check those sections out.
Have fun at your party and happy early, or belated I guess, birthday!! : )
