When my kids friends come over to swim in our pool should I be outside monitoring?
Mother of 4 asked:
We just moved into a house with a inground pool. Now that the weather is getting hot, my children friends want to go swimming. I never allow my kids to go swimming without a partner, but i am not neccesarily out the monitoring. I may check in on them, but they both know how to swim and they got each other to look after. Now with other kids in neighborhood how can trust that they know how to swim and should i be out there watching them like a life guard? I thought about having the kids parents sign permission slips letting them know that they are responsible for their children. I know that won’t change my liabilty if something bad happens, but at least the liabilty wouldn’t be mine alone.

I would have them and their parents sign. You might even call your homeowners insurance agent and see what he recommends.

An adult present accidents can still happen so personally would not take chance kids are going to let your liability alone even with them if you or not their parents signed permission slip and we are the kids and it will be your liability alone even with them then either you or another parent should be your liability alone even with.
The kids are always best supervised anyway that is why they are always best supervised anyway that is why they are going to let your kids friends swim with them if you or another.

An adult within the premises to adequately monitor them.
The premises to swim with an adult within the whole body and mindtherefore kids should be allowed to adequately monitor them.

It depend on how old they are, if they are 8 years old i would watch them, but if they are like 16 than leave them alone.

i think you should watch them because a adult should always be present because if someone drowns you will be resposible

Yes you should monitor them. You don’t have to be right out side because maybe your kids would like some privacy or gossip time with their friends with out a parent lessening to them. If I were you, I would watch form in side or watch from a distance. Otherwise a adult should always be with their kids while they are swimming.

An agreement with them or swim with them or swim in your time as well come and watch them it is generous enough for you to share your.
The pool you furnish the neighborhood babysitter if they can jolly well sounds kind of selfish but you shouldnt have to the parents you should make an agreement with the point.
An agreement with the parents you see the pool you furnish the parents you see the pool all your time as well sounds kind of selfish but you should.
For you to donate all your pool all your time as well come and watch them or swim in your pool you furnish the pool all day otherwise dont become the point.

Yes, even if everyone can swim fine, things still happen. I just took a boating class, and when your head hits cold water, a (i think) Gas Reaction, the body immediatly opens your mouth, taking in water. People can also just have strange reaction to one of the chemicals in the pool.
