Are you supposed to be naked in the swimming pool locker room?
earthless asked:
When you go to the swimming pool and change they require you to shower. Are you supposed to be naked during this or not? I want to join the local swimming pool but I don’t know what the proper etiquette is. I usually just change before hand but this seems easier.

No. Keep your bathing suit on when you shower. If they tell you to be naked then that is sorta against the law…….

No. I wouldn’t be naked or cross dressing there if I was you.

I’m pretty sure that that is against the law… might not be
Some schools with pools do that

Ask the management. I’ve been to plenty of pools where signs posted said “Nude soap shower required.” I don’t recall the rule ever being enforced, but that’s not to say your pool won’t. They can cook up just about any weird rule that they want, and since it’s a private club it’s not “illegal.”

Shower with your suit on before you swim. Shower with soap just like you would at home after your swim is over.

The object of showering is to limit the introduction of bacteria into the pool, so you should be naked and soap yourself all over, rinse off and put on your suit.
But, I have never ever seen anyone do that. At most pools they are lucky to get people to even shower without soap before they enter the pool.

If you wan to be naked go for it. If you dont keep your suit on. If you want to just get the chlorine off of you after a swim keep it on but if it is like a shower then take it off that’s what i would do and whoever said it was illegal above me there wrong that’s why there are locker rooms to keep the naked people INSIDE the CHANGE rooms and thats why there is a mens door and a womens door….

It ’s not a necessity nor a requirement: people do it if they feel like it.
