Can you use mirrored tiles in a swimming pool?

Freediver asked:

I’ve often wondered about using mirrored tiles in a swimming pool, to give the illusion of greater volume when you’re swimming underwater. But I can’t seem to find any suppliers of such tiles on the net.

Would normal bathroom mirrored tiles work, or would the pool water attack them? Has anyone out there tried this? I’d like to hear about your successes and your failures!

Hollis

The black paint behind the mirrored tiles will not hold up under water.
