how do u figure gallons of water in swimming pool?

    approximately 8,566 gallons

    One cubic foot of water weighs 62.42796 pounds.

    One gallon of water weighs 8.345404 pounds.

    In your example, (I’m assuming it’s a round pool);

    Figure how many cubic feet in the pool (pi r squared times depth), multiply by the weight of a cubic foot, divide by the weight of a gallon.

    3.141592654 (pi) X 9 (radius) X 9 (radius) X 4.5 (depth) X 62.42796 / 8.345404 = 8566.02… gallons (approximately)
