Is the Circulator swimming pool return jet worth it? Or should I just get a solar blanket for my pool?

John asked:

I’m looking for something to cheaply but effectively warm my swimming pool. The circulator claim it works with the pump and the sun to heat the pool. I can’t find any reviews for this item.

there are a lot of different ways to heat your pool from a roof pipe connection to a blanket it all comes down to how fast you want to heat your pool the blanket works well but takes a while to heat up the water a pump will work faster but you will use more engery running it i would just get a blanket and put it on and then take it off when your not usein it and then replace it telll you get the right water temp

I love the return in our pool. I get colder than most, and that’s where you’ll find me,next to the return! They also make these circular floating rings that are heated by the sun.Look in Outdoors.com. I hate those blankets! They are cumbersome, and the heat from the sun , deteriorates the solar bubbles on the cover.Soon you have a pool full of little plastic pieces, floating everywhere. You need to sweep them out with a net, as those are bad for the pool pump. You never, never, never get them all out.Makes Me Mad! Don’t get one, there a waste of your money!

Yes, the circulator works! It increases the flow of water so you can run your pump less each day and save $$! By moving the water around the pool heat is more evenly distributed and the pool heats faster.
