Swimming pool diving board, what is it made of?

Rachel T asked:


for personal reasons we just removed our swimming pool diving board. It’s very heavy and was wondering what it is made up of. Is it some type of fiber?

I’m wondering if its metal to recycle or ??

Its not in good condition to sell.

    Could be metal laminated in fiberglass, but nothing worth a trip to the recycler.
