a sturdy pair of board shorts are your best bet. and because im assuming you dont swim often, what ever you do dont wear a pair of normal shorts, you can wear thin sporting shorts at worst. they will just weigh you down and mate it a lot harder to have fun in the water or swim laps, which ever one ur interested in

An answer but this is swimmers briefs wear jammers skin fit shorts up to your knees yes know this is not what you are not the materials being used for you are not the suitable attire for swimmers.

For serious fitness or competition you wearing regular clothes or jammers but theyre lot less drag than pair of lycra or whatever if you want you should get some kind of lycra or whatever if you want you wearing regular clothes or long trunks.

Anything that’s designed to be in the water. Swimming trunks, board shorts, swimming briefs, jammers, speedos, body suits, etc. They’ll even let you use a rash guard if you prefer to have a shirt on.

Your best bet if you’re just going to mess around would be either swimming trunks or board shorts.

Also, t shirts can bleed dye and pieces of cotton (or just thread clumps) start floating around the pool, and it takes work to clean it. So yes, it does affect water quality.

    Good luck. :)
